(9 – 12 month contract)

The Role 

As a Scottish Bat Officer, you will support the delivery of our Scottish Bat Project, which is funded by NatureScot and other funders.

Working with our network for volunteer bat groups, NatureScot and other stakeholders, you will:

- Promote the National Bat Monitoring Programme in Scotland 
- Support volunteer bat groups to contribute to our aims 
- Deliver and support our conferences and events programme 
- Line manage the Project Development Officer for the National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Species on the Edge

About You

To join us as a Scottish Bat Officer, you will need: 

- Significant experience of working in the wildlife sector with volunteers and professionals 
- Experience of wildlife recording schemes 
- Previous experience of managing programmes of work 
- Experience of delivering training to a variety of audiences 

Ideally, you will also have a good level of knowledge of bat conservation. Excellent administration skills would also be an advantage.
