Contract Type: Permanent.

Location: Kent.

We have an agile working policy where staff can work from home, the office or another agreed remote location. The location of employment will be the individual’s nearest Kent hub.

Globally and nationally, wildlife is in steep decline. We appear to be reaching critical tipping points around the loss of biodiversity as well as around climate change, both being interlinked. Human society cannot prosper without wildlife and healthy ecosystems.

Kent’s wildlife needs to be restored to much higher levels. We can no longer allow common things to become rare. We can only do this by restoring large-scale habitat from degraded land. Doing this will contribute to solving global problems. But we won’t be able to do this unless we publicly aspire to a higher level of impact and show that we can deliver this.

We are looking for someone to join us as Head of Project Development & Delivery to lead the change for Kent Wildlife Trust to become a project management led organisation, maximising our resources to accelerate our efforts in realising our vision of a Wilder Kent, where nature is restored to abundance for at least 30% of the county over the next 25 years.

This will help Kent Wildlife Trust to maximise our conservation impact, engage people in support of our conservation delivery and become a self-sustaining and resilient operation.

Drawing on your exceptional project management knowledge and expertise, you will embed a matrix management organisational structure, underpinned by the development and implementation of a robust project management framework.

Developing and delivering complex projects and programmes, you will support Project Managers, to work with management and external partners to develop and oversee a pipeline of projects in support of Kent Wildlife Trust Group priorities.
