Location: Kent, We have an agile working policy where staff can work from home, office or other agreed remote location, but location of employment will be the individual’s nearest Kent hub.
We are looking for a diligent and forward thinking Head of Finance and Compliance to ensure the Kent Wildlife Trust Group functions securely and efficiently supported by robust, resilient systems and wholly in control of the resources needed to deliver its charitable objects, monitoring the long-term financial viability of the Trust.
This role will be part of and contribute to leading change in the systems of the organisation developing a transparent and timely data-led culture.
This post draws together a number of tasks that are crucial to the Trust’s strategy for financial sustainability. The Head of Finance and Compliance will be part of the senior management team developing business strategy with the Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer and the Board of Trustees.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the financial performance of the Group providing effective and timely management information, together with operational responsibility for compliance, quality, resilience and risk management, and financial monitoring.
You will lead the Finance team providing finance services to the Group. Key operational collaborations will include other section heads and their individual teams. This is a hands-on role developing systems, budgets, reporting on progress against budget and preparing year end accounts.
The post holder will play a key part in ensuring that Kent Wildlife Trust Group can continue to carry out it’s vital work and has the revenues to continue making a difference.
